St. John's, Botany have just closed their very successful celebration of their centenary year. They are the amalgamation of St. John's and Howard Rd. United Churches. St. John's is located on the corner of Botany Line and Scane Rd. The stained glass "Welcome" window over the front door is from the Howard Rd. Church. A stone cairn now stands on the site of the Howard Rd. Church just a little to the west of St. John's. Worship is at 10:00 am with Sunday School meeting at the same time. The Choir adds a wide variety of music to the worship. The children celebrate their place in the church each Sunday by playing instruments during the children's hymn.

Mission Statement:

We profess our faith in God our Heavenly Father, in  Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord and in the Holy Spirit our teacher and  guide.

We believe the purpose of our congregation is to form a unified  community of all ages with a rural setting.

We believe our church is not only  a building or landmark, but a caring community providing a friendly, safe and caring atmosphere, sharing our time, our talents, and our love for one another.  We seek to develop leadership in the community and be a resource for social  justice issues and those issues which affect us all.

We believe our church is one that provides for the well being of its members, through worship, communion, fellowship and outreach.


The love of Jesus is contagious. Let's start an epidemic.
